When do we collect contents on Kolsquare?
We collect fixed content (posts and videos in videos or channels) approximately every 24 hours.
For Instagram stories, we check profiles to collect them every 12 hours. Depending on when we check the profile, they may arrive 2 minutes after the initial posting time, and therefore up to a maximum of 12 hours after.
New for 2026: We now collect all the photos from an Instagram carousel. Navigate using the arrows to see all the images. All images will be downloadable.
Important point: Kolsquare works by priority in its content collection. So when you add a KOL to a campaign, its content is prioritized. It's therefore essential to set up your campaigns properly before collaborating with KOLs. In this way, content from a prioritized KOL will be collected more quickly than content from another KOL on the platform.
âAnother important point: we collect content from a KOL as soon as it is present on the platform. So if you add a KOL who wasn't on Kolsquare beforehand, we'll be able to retroactively harvest fixed content in feeds, like a Post or a Reel for example. But when it comes to stories, we'll only be able to compute them from the date they were added. As earlier stories have disappeared from Instagram, we can't retrieve them.
What about cross-posts?
Cross-posts are Instagram content that has been created by 2 (or more) authors, often the influencer and a brand, as part of a collaboration. In this case, we only deploy the content on one or other profile on Kolsquare: always on the one that owns the content.
We've decided to adopt this method to avoid the many bugs encountered when trying to deploy content on all the accounts co-authoring the publication.
So, if you don't find content created in collaboration with a third party on a profile, we invite you to check the account of that third party: the content will be on it, as it is the original owner.
Rest assured, the collection of engagements is the same.
A little tip, however: yes, you do need to add the profile that owns the content to the campaign, even if it's the brand's, if you want to find the content created in collaboration in your reporting.
Looking for Snapchat content?
Snapchat is a bit of an odd one out. The partnership we have established with Snapchat is different from the collection method we use with the other networks.
With Snap, the KOLs must first opt in on Snapchat and agree to share of their data and content on the social network. Then you will be able to see the content but only the Spotlights and Stories.
How long is content stored on Kolsquare?
Kolsquare keeps all content in its database for six years, however, the length of time content remains on the platform depends on the type of content. Here are the details:
