At Kolsquare, we mainly work with public data. This data can be collected directly from the KOLs' and followers’ profiles or via a third party used to supplement and obtain even more statistics — whether performance data or audience data.

However, thanks to Instagram Connection, it's possible to obtain additional statistics, particularly private performance data of content such as impressions, reach, post saves and story replies, and replies to stories, but also hidden likes on posts and even additional audience data.

Instagram Connection is the result of an official partnership between Meta and Kolsquare, allowing brands and agencies to request more statistics directly from influencers through Kolsquare.

Thanks to Instagram Connection, you can access additional audience data about KOLs, sourced directly from Instagram.

In fact, when viewing audience data on a profile under the Performance and Audience sections, you will find two tabs:

When a KOL is connected, you can view audience data for the past 30 days. The available data includes:

This data includes age, gender, and location of followers. For interests and language, we still provide standard Kolsquare data.

When a KOL is connected, you can go beyond estimated private data provided by Kolsquare. You can access real data such as Impressions, Reach, Saves, number of shares for Posts and Reels, average number of Reel views, and Replies for Stories.

Additionally, if the likes on a post are hidden, Instagram Connection will still retrieve that data automatically.

Please note: when you request a KOL to share their private content statistics, this only applies to future content! We cannot retrieve private performance data from past posts.

However, by clicking on the icons, you can still update the data for older content already on Kolsquare.

To use Instagram Connection, add the KOL to a campaign, then in the campaign’s KOLs tab, click on the three vertical dots to the right of the KOL's name and select Request Instagram statistics:

You can also request access to insights by clicking on one of your KOLs' profiles, via the window that opens on the right.

A pop-up will appear explaining how these statistics are collected automatically. You can write an optional message to the KOL explaining the request and also choose which of the KOL’s email addresses to send it to.

3. Alternatively, by clicking on a KOL's profile, a side panel will open, giving you access to their audience statistics. If their name is displayed at the top with the colored Instagram dot and green circle, they are connected to Instagram.

If you see an orange dot in this same location, it simply means that another user has already asked the KOL to share their private data with Kolsquare and that they need to create an account.

It may also look like this :

If the KOL is not connected and no one has yet asked them to share their data, you will see a grey dot:

The red dot indicates an interruption in data transmission. This is either because the KOL has decided to revoke access, or they have changed their password and the connection has been lost:

​Note: After 6 months of interruption in the sharing of KOL statistics, the status will revert to inactive (grey dot).

Influencers will receive an email from Kreators by Kolsquare explaining the benefits of sharing their statistics with brands.

They can also view and share their media kit for even more information.
